Thursday night we drove down to Tucson to see Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.



They played at the Rialto.



It was such a great show! We couldn't take our camera in, so we tried to get some pictures and videos with the blackberry. It was a sold out show so it was really crowded inside. From the ground, I couldn't see anything. So, we decided to sit up top so I could actually enjoy the show. Poor Christian had to sit up top with me because I was too little to see over the crowd.

Christian said during the show that we're going extra early next time. Which is next month...when we get to see...drumroll pleeeeease.....BON IVER. YES. I know, I know, it's going to be beautiful and wonderful.

Wicked Weekend

Saturday we went with Steph & Tyler to Wicked. I don't know if everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did. But I loved it again! I think it's soooo good. Must see every year.

Fire on Friday

Friday night we drove out to the desert with our friends and had a fire. We roasted hot dogs & made s'mores.


We were also really unsuccessful at taking pictures. We're still trying to figure out how to use our camera.




I wish we could do this every Friday. Next time, I'll dress warmer though. It got really cold out there.

something to remember...

I recently got to introduce Hugh Downs before he spoke to some students. It was a really cool opportunity. He has the most amazing and interesting stories. He's a wonderful man and is so important to the world of broadcasting. Interesting fact: He just turned 91 and still holds a current pilots license.

He had me laughing before we got our picture taken.

I forgot how much I love to sleep in and then make breakfast!

Valentine's Day:

We decided to stay in for Valentine's Day. Christian really wanted Famous Dave's...but he got Not-So-Famous-Ryann's instead. Thanks to Denise, the appetizer was a hit! We named them "Spicy Piglets." Jalepeno peppers stuffed with crispy bacon and bubbly cheese. Christian loved them!


For dinner I made pulled pork, mashed reds and beans with bacon. It was bacon overload. Christian never gets it because I hate bacon so I don't buy it. But I wanted to make him something he loves. Plus, I left the chunks real big in the beans so I could easily pick it out and give it to him.


Instead of buying each other gifts, Christian purchased us a combined gift. And I'm so so excited for what it is. Are you ready?

He got me...well us...tickets to go see...

PS, I shouldn't have bragged about the amazing weather last time. It's been freezing the last two days. Where did the sunshine go?

We needed out last night. So we picked up some In-N-Out and headed to the boat docks. Tempe Town Lake is so magical at night, even if the water smells like a dumpster.




PS, did I mention it was 77 degrees yesterday? Cause it was.

I really enjoy our Sunday bike rides. Even if today's was a bit on the chilly side.
