Thanksgiving

We spent our Thanksgiving with the Bowen's. Of course we ate delicious food, but we played a lot too. And rode bikes without training wheels. And the weather was perfect.

Spooky

If you know me at all, then you know that Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love all things spooky and creepy. My poor future children...they will have to endure an overly decorated, haunted house every October.

My sister made me this awesome pillow.

Wedding Weekend in San Diego

This past weekend, I had the honor of being a bridesmaid in one of my BFF's wedding. We spent the weekend in San Diego.  The wedding and reception were so beautiful! I was so sad that we had to cut out a little early to get some homework and other things done. But we are so happy we were able to go.

The beautiful bride, Sam.

The San Diego temple is so beautiful!

Sunday morning we got to have breakfast with Stevie & Tiff before we drove home.

24 Years

Today was my 24th birthday. The celebrating started late last night. I got home from work around 11:30pm, and when I walked in the door, I was very surprised.

Sitting right in front of me was a new couch! Isn't it beautiful? (NOT the hideous leather one in the background!) It was a combined birthday present from Christian, and parents on both sides. Christian spent his saturday with his sisters family where they plotted and planned and surprised me big time! Thank you thank you to everyone! I love my new couch!

Showing off my birthday loot. I got spoiled by family; a fancy knife, tunes, halloween decorations, cash, an address book and cute jewelry.  Everyone was too nice!

But did you know about all the free crap you can get on your birthday? Just google it. And then go. I was only able to handle a few treats but it was still fabulous...and FREE.

I had a watermelon & mint popsicle from Paleta's Betty. This is probably my favorite find since we've lived in Arizona. And the best thing about it, it's on Mill avenue which is a few steps out my front door. My other freebie was a chocolate sprinkled doughnut from Krispy Kreme. I really don't need any of this sugar seeing that I'm a manager for The Sweet Tooth Fairy and I eat sugar all.day.long.

We finished the night at Tempe Town Lake where we relaxed and looked at the small amount of stars we could view. We wanted to ride our bikes over, but you may have heard. Friday while in class, someone cut my lock and stole my bike. I'm still so sad about it. I loved my bike. I'm still crossing my fingers that I'll be the one-in-a-million that gets their stolen bike returned.

But at least my birthday was still the best ever. Thanks to this guy. Thanks Chrissy. I love you!

Sunny San Diego

We had a fabulous weekend. Thursday night after I got off work, Christian, Scott, and myself drove to San Diego. It took us 5 1/2 hours and we pulled into San Diego at 4am Friday. We crashed Doug & Stacy's hotel and caught up on some sleep. We stayed at the Marriott in the Marina.
Friday, Doug was at his conference so the rest of us walked around the shops at the Marina. We ate lunch, shopped and watched a man balance rocks. It was a nice day, but a little chilly compared to Phoenix.

That night when Doug got back to the hotel, we headed to dinner. We ate at Phil's BBQ. We only had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes in line. It was SO worth it. It was delicious! The boys agreed that it was the best ribs they've ever had. Christian loved his tri-tip. My favorite was the onion rings. After dinner we hung out at the pool.

Saturday we went to Coronado Beach all day long. It was so much fun. It was relaxing and the little island is awesome. The water was freeeeeeezing, but me, Christian and Scott managed to get in for about 30 minutes. Then we fell asleep on the beach for a while. Christian got a very nice tan...Scott and I....burn victims. My face even got blisters! It was bad. That night we had the best fish n' chips at Escape in the GasLamp district.

Sunday we all went to the Midway aircraft carrier. It was way cool. We got to do a self guided tour and go at our own pace. My favorite part of the ship? is it a ship? Anyway, my favorite part was the laundry room because it smelled the nicest. I also liked the cafeterias...I think I would've been there all the time if I was in the Navy.

That's it. I need to go peel some skin off my face.

Christian's trip to Colorado

At the end of July, Christian was able to go to his parents house in Colorado along with his siblings. He got to hang out with his family for a week. Here are some pictures from his trip.
