I really don't like this waiting game. Christian finished his grad school applications and now we do the hardest part... we wait. "Where are we going? Where are we going to live? How are we supposed to find housing in a few weeks? How will we move all of our stuff?" It's all I think about all day, everyday. I get sick to my stomach because I have no idea where we're going. We'd like to think we're going to Arizona...but we have to wait and see.
He's applied to:
Arizona State University (4 weeks til we hear)
University of Utah (6-8 weeks)
CalPoly Pamona (6-8 weeks)
University of Oregon (6-8 weeks)
Colorado University Denver (Not sure...probably 6-8 weeks)
Someone please give me some heavy meds to keep my anxiety under control. I just want to know. Even if it's a NO from Arizona, at least I know and I don't have to continue to guess. But we really hope it's a YES.

Christmas!
We went to Colorado for Christmas this year. We waited to celebrate Christmas though because Scott came home from his mission on December 29th so we did Christmas on December 30th. Seph's family was there too so we had so much fun with the whole family. It hadn't snowed yet in Colorado until the morning of our Christmas celebration. I'm not sure if that was a good or a bad thing. I'm not a fan of the snow, however, on Christmas I might be okay with that. It was so fun to watch Eliot open her presents. The first one she grabbed she walked around the living room saying, "I wonder what it could be!"

And she loved the snow!

We love this baby!

We got spoiled on Christmas. We got clothes, movies, gift cards and tons of other great stuff. I got new dishes which I love. They're super cute. Christian got the Harry Potter series.

Christian got me this great trunk for Christmas. I love it!

After I took the paper bow off, he kept telling me to open it for another suprise. He decopaged a huge picture of us on the inside and wrote a big message onto the wood. It was so special. I'm one lucky girl. But I didn't like the fact that it made me cry like a baby in front of his family on Christmas.

Oh! And my parents got us a flip camera. It's so much fun! I'll post video later!
ALSO, while in Colorado we took Hulme family pictures. I'll post those too when we get them!

Christmas Eve
I'm really behind but here's my post from Christmas Eve.
We were in Colorado for Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve, we went with Doug & Stacy to the Trail of Lights. It was really cool. We got to walk around and see lots of pretty christmas lights. They even had some tree houses designed by local architects that Christian really enjoyed.

halleluiah
It's over.
It's really over.
Fall semester 2010.
Done.
Finished.
We're excited to get our grades back.
Christian is passed out on the couch.
Perhaps I'll organize my cupboards.
Or ogranize my scrapbooking station.
Things I've abandoned all semester.
Time to breathe.
See you Saturday COLORADO.

future plans
Lately my comm teachers have been talking to me about my future. They're too nice to me and have given me great confidence boosts! Currently my emphasis is Broadcasting, but I'd like to study Journalism. Especially after what my teachers have told me. I'm going to brag a bit here now.
Bro. B-Comm Department Chair- My favorite teacher ever! Bro B. told me: You can never stop writing. It would be such a waste of talent if you stopped. He also told me I should start freelance writing and that he expects a book/novel from me someday. He has given me full credit for multiple writing assignments this semester. I love his classes and how much he teaches me. I'm sad this is my last semester at BYU-Idaho, but I know where I want to go and what I want to do.
If Christian gets in to here (ASU):

I'll HOPEFULLY be going here:

THE WALTER CRONKITE SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM & MASS COMMUNICATION in downtown Phoenix.
I really hope Christian gets in to ASU, because I love going to school. I may complain at times and be stressed out, but I love what I'm studying. And I would love to go to the Cronkite school. I still love the Broadcasting field and at the Cronkite school I'd get to focus on Journalism but still get to learn about broadcasting and mass media stuff.

wish him luck...
Christian is on his way to Logan Utah right now to take the GRE.
He has been studying and preparing for this test since September.
He took a prep course this semester.
Most days he'd have regular classes:7:45-3, work 3-6, GRE class 6-10:30.
He is a faithful student and has put in so many hours.
This test will help determine which grad schools he gets into which in turn determines where we'll live for the next 6 (at least) years starting in April.
I know he will rock the exam.
Say a quick prayer for him and wish him luck!
He starts at NOON today!
(Also, pray that the roads stay clean so he can get back home tonight!)
